If your spouse does not respond within 30 days, you may proceed with the divorce without their consent.  

If your spouse does not respond to the divorce papers within 30 days (or 60 days if they live outside Canada or the US), the court can proceed with the divorce in their absence. This allows you to move forward with an uncontested divorce, even if your spouse is uncooperative.
