After filing for divorce, you will receive a court file number and a copy of your application stamped by the court.  

The next steps involve serving your spouse with the documents if you’re filing alone. If all requirements are met, you will receive a Divorce Order, which you can use to apply for a divorce certificate, confirming the divorce is finalized.
